How To Self-Publish Your Book

I know you are thinking this has been easy so far but this section must be the hard part. It is actually much simpler than I ever could have imagined. Have you ever visited www.amazon.com and said “I wish I had a book to sell on Amazon”? Kindle Publishing has actually made this a very simple ordeal. Once you have your book completed visit https://kdp.amazon.com/signin and sign up. If you follow the direction prompts you will have your book published in no time. They even have a simple cover creator program that allows you to design your own book cover. This is what I used to create the cover of each of my books. This is the great FREE way to create your book cover that I mentioned earlier.

The Kindle Direct Publishing program is going to ask you to fill in a number of things. Do not let it overwhelm you. Take your time. Be sure to choose a keyword rich title. They will also ask you to fill in a description of your book.

When I write my books I use http://www.docs.google.com. This program allows you to save your writing in a number of different formats. When I wrote my first book I saved it as a PDF file and uploaded to the Kindle Direct Publishing program only to learn later that the formatting was all out of wack when it got published. So when you save your book be sure to save it as a Word Document. This will saved you the formatting disaster that I experienced.

You will also be prompted to set up your royality plan. Once you have completed filling out the form click on the Save & Publish button at the bottom of the page.

Closing Thoughts

I hope that this short blog post has been beneficial to you. The above simple steps are the ones that I used to create each of my books. If you have any questions that you would like answered please share them with me in the comment section below.

As a child I loved everything to do with the outdoors and was even a part of the Boy Scouts. It was the Boy Scouts that taught me the importance of being prepared. As a teenager I lost my father to a brain aneurysm which sparked an even deeper interest in health and wellness. It was around this time that I found myself living with an herbalist and the rest is history.
