Originally we began our business as The Crafty Mermaid and we focused on creating handmade Goats Milk Soaps, Candles and Soy Wax Melts. As we expanded and began to be involved in many other exciting endeavors we decided to operate collectively as The Polar Bear and the Elephant.
The Polar Bear and the Elephant is a mobile pop up handmade crafts and five dollar jewelry shop. We are also located at Pockets of Time in Chester, Va.

We are the home of Green Path Monastery. Green Path Monastery has been created to share with others how we have reconnected with nature and spirit utilizing the Wheel of the Year. Our focus as a Shrine is on healing ourselves, our families, our communities and our planet.
River Willow Apothecary was created as a platform to share with you of the abundance of our own personal herbal apothecary. This has evolved into an educational outreach where you can learn about herbal medicine making, first aid, survival, and self-sufficiency.
